Beckett Springs Behavioral Health Hospital

The Kleingers Group provided survey, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services for the 37,000 SF behavioral hospital that offers 48 beds and focuses on mental health care and addiction treatment. The facility provides inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services to both adults and seniors. Site design elements include a courtyard in the middle of the building and a curvilinear trail around the on-site pond, that provides access points from multiple areas of the facility.
The facility was designed to create interest in the landscape throughout the year with color and texture. The design includes a walking trail along the perimeter of the property that meanders through meadows; a courtyard designed with functionality, aesthetics, and safety; flowering plantings that sway in the wind to aid in relaxation; a patient gardening area; and a basketball court and cornhole areas for active recreation.
